| Cathryne loves to paint expressively. Her work is usually considered quite colorful, while her style is often loosely realistic with an abstract presence. Cathy’s main goal is to translate impressions of the world that she sees into beautiful paintings. Her painting style is built on traditional painting techniques coupled with contemporary painting methods. She likes to combine mediums in her search for interesting visual images.
Cathryne earned a Master of Fine Arts from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she studied under Victor Wang and Tim Liddy. She currently works and teaches out of her home studio. |
