Profile
| Flowing organic movement contrasted with structured elements, abstract shapes, variations in textures and mediums are emphasized in Idelle Okman Tyzbir’s international award winning work. Moving line is a dominant theme. The visualization of music is a strong component in many of her pieces. Her major influences have been Alexander Calder, Wassily Kandinsky and Joan Miro. Elements of Abstract Expressionism and Constructivism can be found in her non-objective abstract sculptures.
Idelle uses a variety of metals, acrylic paint, glass and other materials to enhance meaning and give depth to her sculptures. Textures are integral to the messages being conveyed. Welding processes and metal forming are utilized in the creation of her sculptures. She calls herself “The Metal Wrestler”. |
