| Painter/Sculptor Chepe Cuadra has been making artwork for the past 30 years.
Much of his work deals with identity and questions of self through variations on portraiture - images of the people he encounters in his life, friends and family. In his current work entitled: “Back Portraits”, Chepe search for other clues of recognizing a person by painting them from their back (portraits) as well as to bring the spectators to have a closer view of the painting. Having taught drawing at the college level and worked with various private studios, Chepe, has a BA in Art from Johnson State College and is currently working on his MFA at the same institution. His work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally in the US, Colombia and Nicaragua. Chepe currently lives and work in Saint Albans Vermont. |
