Ms. Layne studied art at Rice University in Houston, TX; Art League at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria VA; Glen Echo Park in Cabin John, MD; and at Artworks in Reston, VA. Ms. Layne grew up in the Texas Panhandle and received her architecture degree from Rice University. She worked on architectural projects diverse as hospitals, prisons, educational facilities, research facilities, Metro stations, and sports and recreation arenas with Metcalf Associates; Harry Weese & Associates; Chapman, Miller, & Layne (principal); and DMJM (now AECOM) (Associate Vice President). She is now retired from architecture. |
