Profile
| Art is expressed through a language of emotion and an internal discourse with passion. Through my work, both artist and observer have a workspace for the mind's eye, in which germinating conversations from joy to pain can surface to flower.
With my paintings, I hope to provoke a visceral freedom of feeling in the new eyes of the observer. Through this, I feel more woven into the collective unconscious and a deeper resonance with our expanding humanity. My artwork is a joyful expression of an ever changing mind - through the constant flux of covering and uncovering, the emerging forms move the curious mind to face its own preoccupations. I am a self taught artist, and have been painting with oils and acrylics for the past twenty years. I am moved to paint by the overwhelming beauty in the world - through the ever present majesty of mother nature, to the beauty that is expressed in our interpersonal spheres; all of which is fraught with upheaval and struggle for growth and change. |
