The Gallery 4N5 Grant Application Form
Dear Artist,
We are pleased to introduce our Grant selection process for 2013.
Gallery 4N5 works with a select group of Foundations, Non Profits and Private donors to empower accomplished emerging artists with funds, endowments and grants.
Applicants must apply online using the online application system. Mailed applications and work samples are not accepted.
Who May Apply:
U.S. artists and International artists. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older. Fellowship recipients must provide proof of eligibility and a verifiable ID.
Eligible Work:
There are no restrictions on subject matter, genres or processes of past or projected work. Works submitted may be traditional fine art projects or experimental work..
Examples of Non-Eligible Work: Film, Video; Internet projects, interactive multimedia
Fellowship recipients will be notified in late January of 2011.
The decisions of the UYC Foundation and its designated judging panel as to who receives fellowship support and in what amounts will be final, private, and without appeal. As required by law, award funds must be used to further the artist's creative endeavors. Recipients will be asked to provide a summary of the uses to which award funds were put.
Online Application Information
Internet access and a working email address are needed to apply. Once you have registered online and have a valid membership paid plan you are ready to submit a completed application. You can apply at any time up until the deadline; however, your application must be successfully received by January 31st. We recommend applying well in advance, in order to avoid technical problems.
A completed application consists of the following information & files:
- Applicant Profile: Name and contact information
- Work Samples: The board will review your artwork from your gallery at www.galiara.com.
- Text descriptors for each image: Title, Year Completed, Medium, Dimensions
- Career summary, artist’s resume or short bio (500 words maximum)
- Work Statement: (350 words maximum) The purpose of the statement is to give the review panel a better understanding of your work, while they are viewing it. Your statement should be clear, concise and relate to the work samples you submit.
Strategies for successful grantseeking

Do your research to determine whether our goals and objectives are consistent with your type of grant request.

After you do the research, find out the preferred method of contact us

We will initiate contact with you if you are shortlisted.

Include a cover letter with each proposal that introduces your organization and your proposal, and makes a strategic link between your proposal and our mission and grantmaking interests.

Type and single-space all proposals.

Answer all the questions in the order listed.

Submit the number of copies we request according to our guidelines.

Do not include any materials other than those specifically requested at this time.
Please note that only paid members (membership levels are on monthly, six-monthly, or yearly basis) and artists currently exhibiting at the gallery are considered for grants. If you haven't signed up for a plan, please login to your account and activate a membership plan before continuing.
